PMI SCC’S TECHNICAL SESSION 2014 TOPIC: Leading Effective Stakeholder Engagement‐ Lessons from the Citizen Security Programme of Trinidad and Tobago. PRESENTER: RYSSA BRATHWAITE Ryssa Brathwaite has over a decade of experience in youth and community development at both the policy and programming level; in both voluntary and professional capacities. Formerly a Cabinet appointed member of the committee responsible for the National Plan of Action for Children and the CARICOM Commission for Youth Development; she was also heavily involved in the development of the first National Youth Policy of Trinidad and Tobago. Ryssa earned her undergraduate degree from Andrews University, and her MBA from Anglia Ruskin University where her focus of study was social entrepreneurship among Non‐Governmental Organizations in Trinidad and Tobago. She also holds certificates in Youth Work, Project Management, Mediation and Urban Crime and Violence Prevention. She is currently employed with the IDB‐funded Citizen Security Programme (CSP) as a Community & Youth Specialist where she oversees the design and implementation of community based, youth‐focused social interventions in vulnerable communities throughout Trinidad and Tobago.
