PRESENTER: MR FRANCIS WADE Project Managers intuitively know and understand that all project members are not equal. Some deliver on time, every time... while others cannot be counted on for even simple tasks. What most PMs don't know is that research shows there are five styles of time management that are predominant during projects. Success in your role as PM might hinge on knowing who exactly is showing which style. Furthermore, my data collected in the Caribbean shows that there are seven key skills team members use when managing their time. I'll share the highlights of this data plus some additional clues that will tell you whether or not someone has high, low or medium skills. Getting a quick grasp of someone's style and skills can make all the difference between a PM enjoying a full night of sleep or having nightmares about delivering on time and within budget. About the Presenter: Francis Wade is the author of two books on time-based productivity, and the founder of Framework Consulting Inc. A Cornell national scholar, Francis completed two degrees in four and a half years before being recruited by AT&T Bell Labs. He worked as a specialist in process improvement and productivity with a number of organizations in the US before deciding to start his own company. After completing a handful of projects in the Caribbean he decided to move to Jamaica. Determined to make a difference, he saw his own productivity fall which sent him looking for solutions that could fit any environment. Using his affinity for research and an online teaching position at the University of Phoenix, he has been able to use the latest studies from fields such as psychology, philosophy, management and engineering to devise a unique way for knowledge workers anywhere in the world to deal with the rapid increase demands on their time. An avid user of technology, he spends far too much time on social media sharing his ideas via tweets, blogs, podcasts and videos. Francis is a recovering iron-distance triathlete and marathoner.
