While few would deny the importance of strategy in virtually every sphere of life, a surprisingly large number of people have very little idea of what strategy really is or what it means to consciously think strategically. Anderson’s presentation, delivered at the recently concluded PMI Global Congress in San Diego, is based on his paper which integrates ideas from the sport of chess with key concepts from the seminal work of Porter (1996) and Kaplan and Norton (2000).
Even if you know nothing about chess, join our interactive and eye-opening session; learn a novel definition of strategy and a basic process for strategic planning. You will also learn key principles of strategic thinking so that you can immediately apply the content and thus improve as a strategic thinker and leader.
