Dr John Lewis is currently the Director of ICT at the Office of the Prime Minister. Previously, he held the positions of Director of ICT at the Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries and Head of Consulting at the National ICT Company of Trinidad and Tobago.
Dr. Lewis has more than 35 years of professional experience in ICT in various industries including Insurance, Housing, Consulting, Distribution, and Agriculture. He also held several associate positions including as the President of ICT Professional Society of Trinidad and Tobago, the Vice President of PMI Southern Caribbean Chapter, and was an adjunct faculty member of Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business.
Dr. Lewis has taught several ICT courses at Master’s level including Big Data Architecture, Enterprise Systems and Business Intelligence and Information Security, Ethics and Law. His areas of expertise include big data management, information security, digital transformation, project management and software engineering. He has successfully led many ICT projects both locally and across the region.
Dr. Lewis has received his Doctorate in Business Administration in Enterprise Resource Management and Information Systems and his dissertation research entitled “Enhancing Technology Adoption in the Public Service of Trinidad and Tobago”.
